Question:- I am using an HP Envy 4500 Series Wireless Printer and it can’t scan to the computer. When I try to scan my documents into my computer it says”Scan to the computer is currently unavailable”. I don’t know how to enable HP envy 4500 Scan to computer feature. Answer:-Sometimes it happens that HP Envy Printer will print the documents from the computer and also the copier will work fine, but the Scanning part doesn’t work. It’s not the problem with HP Envy 4500 printer. There is a problem with computer services and drivers.
If you are pressing the SCAN button on the printer and it shows you “HP Envy 4500 Scan to computer is unavailable” that means computer services that have been corrupted. Your printer is not able to communicate with computer services.msc.
Steps to Enable HP Envy 4500 Scan to computer
There are some technical steps to enable HP Envy Scan to computer.
- Press and hold the power button of the HP Envy 4500 printer.
- Restart your HP Printer.
- Go to computer Settings>Devices>Printers and Scanners.
- Check for HP Envy 4500 printer icon.
- If icon not found, install the latest HP drivers on the computer.
- Open HP Envy 4500 Printer icon.
- Printer assistance will open on the computer screen.
- Click on the Scan option and select Scan to computer.
- Now press the Enable button to enable scan to computer option.
- Last but not least, a retry scan from the printer.
NOTE:- If HP Envy 4500 Scan to computer will not enable after following these troubleshooting steps, then you have to fix the computer services.
